After-hours dispatch

The six hours between midnight and six, covered by somebody who is awake for them.

This is the service Techluj started with, and it is still the one that changes the most for a carrier.

Freight does not stop when your office closes. It stops being watched. Drivers break down, receivers set appointments, brokers post loads, and detention clocks run, all through a window when most small carriers have nobody at a desk.

Our team is in India, which means North American nights are our working day. Overnight coverage is not a premium shift we are reluctantly staffing. It is when we are at our best.

What is included

  • Live answer on your dispatch line through the covered window
  • Breakdown and roadside coordination, with the broker informed immediately
  • Overnight load board coverage on your subscription
  • Appointment requests placed as receiver windows open
  • Proactive check calls before your brokers ask
  • Detention and delay documented with timestamps as it happens
  • A written handover note waiting when your day desk opens

What the shift actually does

We wrote up a normal night hour by hour, including the breakdown at one, the load board window at two, the border check at three and the appointment requests at four. It is the clearest explanation of the service we have: what happens to your freight between midnight and six.

The handover note

The most useful single output of a night shift is four paragraphs sitting in your inbox at six in the morning. What happened, what is outstanding, what needs a decision from you, and which loads are at risk.

Your day starts informed instead of starting with an archaeology exercise.

Partial coverage works too

Not everybody needs all night. Common shapes are evening cover to midnight, an overnight block, weekend-only cover, or on-call escalation where we answer and only wake you for things on a list you wrote.

Starting with the window that hurts most is usually the right way in.

Common questions

Questions we get asked

Can you cover only weekends?

Yes. Weekend-only cover is a common starting point, particularly for carriers running reefer or cross-border where a Saturday problem cannot wait until Monday.

Will you wake me up?

Only for things on a list you write. Everything else is handled and appears in the morning handover. Deciding what is on that list is part of onboarding.

Do you answer our existing dispatch number?

Yes, through forwarding from your number during the covered hours. Drivers and brokers call the same number they always have.

Tell us what is falling through the cracks

A short call is enough to work out whether a dedicated seat, a shared seat or a single service is the right shape. No commitment, no pressure, and we will say so if we are not the right fit.
